Business Signage

Depending the location of the business, the Sign Code, and in many cases an established sign program for the property determines the number and type of signs permitted for your business. You can find the Sign Code in Chapter 15.40 Outdoor Advertising Signs and Structures.

Temporary Signs

Temporary signs require a permit and are subject to certain restrictions such as:

  • 1 banner or a series of pennants is permitted for a 30-day period, 3 times per year.
  • The temporary sign or pennants must be on private property.
  • The banner or pennants may not be attached to landscaping. No human signs are permitted.

Human Signs

No business may utilize any human, or motorized mannequin, advertisement in the public right-of-way, including, but not limited to, parkways and sidewalks.
