The Property Division of the La Habra Police Department is responsible for processing and storing any items collected on a case, including evidence, found property, or any item being stored for safekeeping.
Property logged in as evidence cannot be released unless a case has been closed and a court order has been submitted. For the retrieval of firearms, the owner must follow the process established by the Department of Justice Bureau of Firearms and complete and submit the Law Enforcement Gun Release Application (LEGR).
