Make a difference in a child's life! Your gift today can ensure that The Children’s Museum at La Habra continues to provide stimulating hands-on exhibits and programs to young children in the Southern California community.
The Children's Museum at La Habra:
Stimulates young minds through unique exhibit environments that invite hands-on interactions
Is an affordable educational resource for low-income families
Increase the chances for a child’s academic success through award-winning educational programs
Children learn through observing, interacting socially with others and but by trying things out for themselves. The Children’s Museum at La Habra’s one of a kind hands-on exhibits and educational outreach programs stimulate children’s imagination and inspire them to learn about the world. Young children have opportunities to increase their sensory, motor, art, science, math, literacy, creativity and intellectual skills.
Did You Know That...
The Children’s Museum at La Habra’s low admission fee funds less than 30% of its operating budget. The rest comes from donors just like you!
2015 End of Year Giving: Special Tax-Free IRA Gifts
For those aged 70½ or older, it is once again possible to make tax-favored charitable gifts from traditional and Roth IRA accounts.
On December 18th, the President signed into law legislation that retroactively extends the charitable IRA rollover for 2015 and makes this provision permanent for future years. A total of up to $100,000 can be transferred directly from traditional or Roth IRAs to one or more qualified charities such as the Friends of the Children’s Museum at La Habra free from federal income tax each year. There may also be state income tax savings. Amounts given in this way count toward required IRA minimum withdrawal amounts for the year of the gift.
To make such gifts, it is important to not withdraw funds prior to a gift, but have the gift amount distributed directly from an IRA to one or more qualified charities. For those with check writing privileges on their accounts, this may be the most efficient way to make gifts directly from an IRA.
Please contact Roy Mueller at firstname.lastname@example.org or 562-383-4242, your IRA administrator or your tax advisor for more information.
