Scouting Programming

Let us help you earn a badge or complete your leadership journey! Museum staff will tour you through galleries and then we’ll finish with a hands-on workshop. Includes a Children’s Museum patch.

Currently, we offer 3 programs to Brownie Girl Scouts:

G.I.R.L.-ography: Scouts are Go-getters, Innovators, Risk-takers, and Leaders, and you all have a unique story. We’ll learn how girls around the world live and then create our own stories.

Water covers most of our planet, but things people do can harm the ocean and the animals living in it. Water, Water Everywhere focuses on conservation and ocean biology.

Little Bugs, Big Difference! Learn about the 6-legged critters that share our planet with us. We’ll meet several bugs up close and then create an insect habitat to take home.

Price: $15 per scout, 1st chaperone free, additional visitors pay regular museum admission ($10 per person).

Scheduling: Museum Encounters are available afterschool until 5pm and Saturday
mornings starting at 10am. Call 562.383.4239 for reservations.
