Senior Salute Week

Senior Salute week is an event where the City of La Habra joins forces with the La Habra Community Collaborative, the Move More, Eat Healthy program, the Institute for Healthcare Advancement, St. Joseph/St. Jude Medical Center, the American Heart Association, Friends of Family Health Center, Southern California University of Health Sciences, VCC The Gary Center and Our Lady of Guadalupe church for a week long program that provides a variety of health and lifestyle activities for older adults. This year's program will begin on Sunday, November 3, 2019 and will end  on Friday, November 8, 2019, with the City's Senior Health Fair at the La Habra Community Center, 101 W. La Habra Boulevard, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with free flu shots, as well as various screenings and exams.

Monday through Friday activities will include the regularly scheduled activities for seniors that take place at the La Habra Community Center -- live music and dancing, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; Health & Wellness exercise classes, 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; lunch, 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., and bingo, 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
